Office Hours: Mon & Thurs: 9-7; Tues, Wed, & Fri: 9-6; and Sat: 9-2. Staff work schedule is 4.5 days per week.

Available Positions

Doctor's Assistant

General Responsibilities: obtain patient case history; obtain accurate data from all preliminary test equipment (acuities, auto-refractor, auto-keratometer, tonometer, visual field testing, Optomap and fundus photography); teach patients how to insert/remove/clean both soft and gas permeable contact lenses.  Clean and sanitize equipment after each use. Maintaining testing area, doctor's exam rooms and hallways clean and tidy at all times.  Doctor's Assistant also assist Front Desk personnel by answer phones, scheduling patients and greeting incoming patients.

Front Desk

General Responsibilities: Greeting & interacting with patients using proper etiquette and demeanor, appointment management, updating and verifying patient demographics, schedule appointments, collect insurance information by verifying medical and vision insurance benefits, collecting co-pays and associated fees for services and products rendered. Professional and proper phone mannerisms as well as possessing a positive attitude are mandatory. This is a fast paced professional optometry office and those candidates must be able to multitask.

Optician

General Responsibilities: Must have strong communication skills and at least 3 years of current optician experience.  Our practice only utilizes premium ophthalmic lenses and lens related products - as such, the candidate must know their products.  The right candidate must be able to use a manual lensometer, educate patients on lens materials, products and lens treatments, be able to adjust and make minor frame repairs, troubleshoot prescription eyewear concerns, and be familiar with vision insurance plans. Our practice uses Office Mate/Exam Writer software. Lab work isn't required yet is a plus. ABO certification encourage and supported here.
